Positive Discipline

Positive DisciplineBetsy Fredrickson, LSCSW, LCSW is a Certified Positive Discipline Parenting Educator (PDPE).  She finds this method of parenting helpful for parents and their children and has seen much success using this in her Private Practice.  This philosophy teaches parents and teachers to become more collaborative with their children or students and decreases the need to bribe kids, nag or use punitive methods of controlling unwanted behavior. The Positive Discipline model encourages critical thinking skills in children and empowers children and teens to feel like they have a “voice”.  This allows the home or school environment to be a happier place.
