About

Teenage years are stressful for both parents and children.

I wouldn’t go back to middle school for a million dollars! I am not sure I would even go back to high school for a million dollars. This was the answer that was discussed with a group of parents of teens.

The teen years can be hard to go through and  as a parent, hard to watch as our kids struggle.

The invention of social media, where teens are always able to know what their friends are doing (with or without them) along with the pressures of doing well in school, provide a perfect recipe for stress, anxiety and depression.

This is the reason why getting some support from someone who is not a family member and not emotionally connected to your teen is so important.

Coming to therapy to talk about this stress and learning some ways to manage these strong feelings and emotions are what my clients are doing in therapy.

I love working with people and seeing them grow in confidence.

My goal is to give my patients a space to start to discover where their interests lie, what is important to them, what kind of friends they want, and how to cope with everyday anxieties.

Thriving in a space where individuals can discover themselves and their journey.

Also finding comfort in knowing that the strong emotions don’t make them weird or strange but totally normal.

I love watching my patients gain confidence in the person they are becoming and continue to grow into the person they want to be.

Starting therapy can be intimidating but worth the risk.

We are taught when we are little to never talk to strangers, yet therapy involves telling important and personal things about yourself to a total stranger.

If you have never been in therapy before, it can be awkward and can be a little scary.

However, not going to therapy and not having the tools to deal with these strong emotions can be even worse.

Therapy is worth the risk, and I encourage you to get the help now for your yourself or someone you love.

You deserve an answer to the questions you have been asking yourself. Help is available and now is the time. You have come to the right place to discover the possibilities.

About Me

For many years, my private practice has specialized in working with teens, young adults, individuals, and families.

These are the stages of life I love the most- because each represents a time of growth, transition, and self discovery

While every season is different, they share something in common: Change

And change can feel overwhelming.

Navigating Life’s Transitions with Support

Each stage brings its own unique challenges:

Teens learning who they are and where they fit in.
College students discovering their passions and independence.
Young adults balancing relationships, careers, and expectations.
Parents learning how to support children who may have very different needs.
Adults re-entering the workforce after years of caregiving.

No two journeys look the same.

But all of them deserve understanding, guidance, and support.

I love watching people uncover their strengths, values and purpose.

Seeing someone realize who they are- and who they want to become- is one of the greatest privileges of my work.

Life outside the office is busy and exciting.

Life outside my office is busy, full, and deeply meaningful.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me at local sporting events—cheering on lacrosse, basketball, and football teams around town. I’m also a proud fan of the Kansas Jayhawks—Rock Chalk!

I love being a wife and mom, and I’ve experienced both the joy and the challenges that come with parenting. This journey has helped me stay grounded and empathetic, especially when working with parents who are navigating different stages of their children’s development.

Parenting has taught me humility, patience, and compassion—and those lessons show up in my work every day.

Learning, Growing and Staying Connected

As I move through life, I’m constantly learning—from my clients (especially teens), my friends, and my own family.

I feel incredibly lucky to call Austin, Texas home and to have a career that allows me to do work I truly love.

In my free time, you’ll usually find me:

✔ Listening to the latest podcasts
✔ Trying new restaurants around Austin
✔ Traveling to explore new places
✔ Soaking in everything this big, beautiful world has to offer

I’m grateful every day for the people I get to work with, the community I’m part of, and the opportunity to walk alongside others as they grow.
